At the 2020 Golden Globes, the meal that was served to the attendees was completely plant-based. The Screen Actors Guild Awards did the same a few weeks later. Beginning Jan. 1, California became the first state to ban stores from selling cosmetics tested on animals. The California Cruelty-Free Cosmetics Act was signed in 2018, but it took some time to put into motion. By the way, Nevada and Illinois have followed suit with their own ban on animal-tested cosmetics.
These times are a-changing
